Integromics bioinformatics software to help genome profiling

PBR Staff Writer Published 11 January 2011

Granada-based Integromics, an IT solutions provider in the areas of genomics and proteomics, announced the publication of a paper highlighting a novel genome-wide profiling of polyadenylation events in human and yeast in the journal Cell.

The data analysis used the recently introduced SeqSolve Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) functional bioinformatics analysis software and Direct RNA Sequencing.

The SeqSolve analysis software is an independent, multi-organism sequencing solution which performs tertiary level analyzes.

The software features the exclusive Click and GO technologies for seamless transcriptome profiling automation and quality control.

It also boasts of the TIBCO Spotfire platform for scientific data visualization and extended downstream analysis.

Integromics CEO Michael McManus said the company developed the bioinformatics software to perform high-throughput sequencing data analysis to discover unidentified mechanisms, events, signals and correlations in the genomes of human and other organisms.
