Icon joins Oracle for clinical data management

Icon, a clinical research company, has joined Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub to standardise and manage various ongoing clinical studies online.

A web-based repository has been developed by ICON, which will help facilitate analysis of clinical trial data, thereby resulting in better efficiency across the business, siliconrepublic.com reported.

Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub will provide enhanced audit trails to make sure they are compliant with 21CFR Part 11 regulations.

The clinical research company, with the help of Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub, can integrate multiple data sources and systems to provide discipline, structure and a more efficient process for collecting, cleaning and analysing clinical data across ICON’s global operations.

In addition, Icon plans expansion of its reporting technologies with an aim to increase the visibility and availability of clinical trial data and associated metrics.
