The nexgen-PTS expands the company’s microbial solutions offering within its microbiology portfolio, which features microbial detection, bioburden testing and microbial identification.
The Endosafe nexgen-PTS features touch screen display, user profile management, barcode scanning and real-time data analysis.
The luminous, oversized LCD provides navigation of system functions. Pressure-sensitive technology supports the use of gloves for maintaining sterile conditions.
Charles River said password protection and three levels of user profiles offer security and system control. One-button automated scanning removes costly data entry errors and streamlines processes.
Endotoxin measurement, acceptance criteria and sample reaction data will be displayed on screen as samples get analyzed for immediate response to test results.
The increased storage capacity of more than 8GB of internal storage and expandable external USB storage will allow the nexgen-PTS to hold various reports.
The nexgen-PTS leverages the pre-calibrated, disposable Endosafe-PTS cartridges to carry out a kinetic chromogenic assay which measures a color intensity directly associated to the endotoxin concentration in a sample.
Each cartridge features specific amounts of LAL reagent, chromogenic substrate and control standard endotoxin.
